On-Field Physio
Sports Lab offers On-Field Physio and Physiotherapy Management for Sporting Teams
The Role of On-Field Physiotherapy in Sports Injuries

In the realm of competitive sports, athletes are frequently exposed to the possibility of sustaining injuries during matches, training sessions, or tournaments. Sporting injuries can range from minor sprains to severe fractures and dislocations. The immediate aftermath of an injury is a crucial period where the expertise of physiotherapy is essential. The role of the physiotherapist is critical  for the initial management and care at the time an injury occurs.  Sports Lab offers On-Field Physio to Sporting teams, as well as Physiotherapy management during the recovery phase.

Sports Lab also offers injury prevention services, like Baseline testing and Education workshops.

Rehabilitation Through Physiotherapy

Following the initial on-field management, physiotherapy plays a pivotal role in the athlete's recovery process:

  • Exercise Prescription:  Designing and implementing a tailored exercise program to strengthen the joint and surrounding muscles.
  • Technique Enhancement:  Teaching proper movement techniques to ensure safe participation in sports activities.
  • Joint Stability Rehabilitation: Employing therapeutic strategies to regain joint stability and functionality.
  • Injury Prevention: Providing guidance on preventive measures to reduce the risk of future dislocations.

The goal of physiotherapy is to facilitate a safe and efficient return to sport, optimising performance while minimising the likelihood of re-injury.
