Hydrotherapy

Sports Lab Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is a great way to maintain your health, well-being & fitness!
Our Physiotherapists can advise you on swimming & hydrotherapy.

What is Hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy is therapeutic exercises in a heated pool guided by a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist with specialised aqua therapy training.  Our classes are suitable for all ages & fitness levels. It is especially beneficial for people with chronic pain, recovering post-surgery or starting out on their fitness journey.  It is also a great way to maintain your health, well-being  & fitness.  Hydrotherapy is an excellent way to increase strength, ease stiff joints and relax sore muscles. The warmth and buoyancy of the water greatly reduces pressure on joints, making it easier for those with pain and stiffness to perform exercises. Hydrotherapy is a great way to reach your health & wellness goals.
We offer both group classes (bookings essential) & one-on-one sessions (by appointment only).

Do I have to book to do a hydrotherapy session?

Yes! We must conduct an assessment to see if hydrotherapy is appropriate for you and what you want to achieve, as well as to check how it will impact any current rehabilitation program you may have in place. Once you have had your assessment, then you can book a session of hydrotherapy. We have both group and private sessions available depending on your needs.

Do you offer group classes?

Yes! We run group aqua aerobics classes during the week.  Visit the KICK website for timetables.
