About Pilates & Clinical Exercise

Classes at Sports Lab Alexandria

Our pilates services include Reformer/Equipment-based pilates, as well as classic Mat-based pilates. We also offer strength & core classes that are physiotherapist guided (see Physiotherapy > Strength & Core Classes); these strength & core classes incorporate pilates based equipment and techniques, as well as other exercises and techniques.

Over the years Pilates has proven to be a superior exercise system that allows each and every one of us to explore the benefits of increased flexibility, strength and core. It is excellent for releasing tension and stress from the body as well as rebalancing muscles to prevent pain and injury. Over time, you gain knowledge and awareness of your body’s capabilities, developing a mindful, educated approach to exercise, creating balance and freedom of movement for your body. Pilates helps to achieve a stable and grounded base from which your body can move freely.

  • Please wear comfortable workout wear, and for hygiene purposes please wear clean socks and bring your own small towel.

This is a requirement for all new clients. This session serves to enable us to get to know you so we can help you achieve your goals. Please bring any medical/physio reports to this session. Some clients may need to have been cleared by a Doctor to undertake training.

Semi-Private Studio Sessions55 minutes

These sessions are for 2 people. These sessions are also ideal for meeting your personal goals as with only 2 in the session, you will still receive your own personal program. Enjoy a bit of social time with a friend, stranger, colleague, or family member.

Pilates Cancellation Policy:

All cancellations made with 24 hours notice will not be charged.

Classes will be charged in full if cancellation is made within 24 hour period.
