About Sports Lab Strength & Core Classes

  • Mat based pilates
  • reformer pilates

Strength and Core sessions are personalised and consist of a specific program designed by a Physiotherapist.

It is beneficial for people needing assistance to progress their exercises post injury, stretch out their body, activate deep core muscles, and/or recover from injury.

An initial 1:1 assessment is required with a Physiotherapist to create an individualised program for you.

The Physiotherapist will then work out what you need to focus on, and, in conjunction with you develop a treatment plan to help you reach your goals.

You will then have the option of continuing with 1:1, small group or joining a mat or equipment class (no classes in the CBD clinic).

Our sessions can include floor-based exercises, reformer, cadillac, wunda chair, resistance bands and weights.

BENEFITS OF CLINICAL EXERCISE SESSIONS INCLUDE:

  •  Increasing overall strength and tone
  • Correcting posture and alignment
  • Improving flexibility
  • Improving balance to prevent injury
  • Increasing body awareness
  • Injury prevention and recovery
  • Development of mind, breathe, body connection
  • Dance and sport specific training
  • Pre and post natal health
In order to maximise supervision, assistance and progression of exercises within a small group class, Sports Lab strength and core classes are limited to 4 participants (Drummoyne) and 5 participants (Alexandria).

Classes are subject to availability and timetables are updated and changed regularly with new classes being added frequently.

See our current class timetables below, but be sure to call your closest clinic to organise your initial assessment, semi-private or 1:1 sessions at a time that works for you.
