Recognised healthcare provider for
GLA:D® Australia Program
What is GLA:D® Australia?
It consists of both education and exercise components. GLA:D® was developed by researchers in Denmark and has been successfully taken to Canada, China and is currently been implemented in Australia.
GLA:D® has been shown to result in reduction of pain, improvement in quality of life, reduced use of pain killers and a reduction in sick leave for people with hip and knee osteoarthritis. GLA:D® participants also reported high levels of satisfaction with the program and increased levels of physical activity 12 months after starting the program.
This program is unique in that the education and exercises provided can be applied to everyday activities.
