Prenatal, Postnatal & Paediatric Education classes
In joint collaboration, the physiotherapists at Sports Lab and Full Potential Physiotherapy are hosting
educational and movement classes specifically targeting both you and your baby’s needs at different stages of this exciting journey.
Where?
These 90-minute classes are run by physiotherapists with extensive women’s health and paediatric knowledge and experience.
Classes will take place in our Sports Lab Studio rooms, Level 1 The Odeon Building, 50-52 Lyons Road Drummoyne where there will be plenty of space for you to come solo or bring along your new bub or baby bump.
Classes cost $120 per session and will include light refreshments between sessions.
Why attend?
The groups are designed to be informative as well as hands-on and interactive for both Mums and Bubs.
The first part of the session will be focussed on you and your body with detailed explanations of the changes that this new bundle of joy will herald for you at each stage of your pre or post-natal journey. We will provide tips and tricks to help you navigate some common complaints that may arise and take you through a few helpful positions and exercises to assist along the way.
After a small break, we will then run through important information about your baby’s development and you will be given practical ideas and shown ways to position and play with your baby to help their gross motor development. Time is then allowed for you to try these suggestions with your baby and we will be available to assist and advise you.
The classes are divided into three:
- PRENATAL
- EARLY POSTNATAL, BUBS 0-6 months
- LATE POSTNATAL, BUBS 6-12 months

How to Book
Bookings can be made by emailing classes@sportslab.com.au with your desired class or enquiry or you can fill in the form below. Any further questions can be directed to this email address (or the form) and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
As these classes contain up to 8 babies we ask that you only attend if you or your baby is well so not to risk the health of the other families.
*Please note
- No pregnancy or postnatal journey will be the same. These classes are designed to provide you with an overview of some of the most common issues that arise in relation to physiotherapy and the pregnant/postnatal body. The information will be presented as the most evidence-based and clinically relevant at the time, however, may not be applicable to all participants.
- If you do have a specific concern or complication it is advisable that you book in for a 1:1 assessment to ascertain whether the information presented is relevant to your personal journey.
- These classes are designed for children where there are no developmental concerns but whose
parents/carers wish to learn how to help their child develop motor skills. If you feel that your baby is
experiencing a specific motor delay or you have concerns about their development then you may require a one-to-one assessment with one of our experienced paediatrics physiotherapists. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email us on info@fpphysio.com
